Is it possible to lower the second row of seats, while keeping the third row of seats up, so that those passengers in the third row have mega leg room? Don't yet have my Pilot, but thinking of a longer road trip with two adult friends, and their comfort.
Scoobs
yes, you can put down both sides of the middle seat or just one side or the other, several possible combinations

Yep. And, the second row of seats is adjustable forward and backward. So, you could move them all the way forward for maximum leg room!

In fact, on a recent trip to LA (last Summer actually) from San Jose my girlfriend was even considering sitting in the 3rd row with the second row folded down to act as a foot rest while she would watch movies on our portable DVD player.

Good luck!
Larry.

How about putting both rows of seats down, and laying down to take a snooze. Any experience with that? Intimate details not necessary:o
ecsw
but 2nd row's seat padding is much thicker and more comfortable, isn't it?
MPSpecter
yes, but the second row does not fold down flat.

Oh yes they are! :12:

Yes but if you put your head toward the front, it elevates the head which is comfortable.

I have spent the night in the back of my Pilot in the Utah wilderness. Both seats were folded down, and my head slightly elevated. I would recommend an inflatable air mattress or air bed for this activity, since the backs of the seats get very hard during the night, even with a sleeping bag.

You're right on, N_Jay! I'm certainly no mountain man. I had to drive into town the next day and rent a shower for $4 just to feel good again!

Glad you mentioned this as I was just thinking that with a sleeping bag it ought to be ok.

Call me wimp but I have changed since the days no camping trip involved anything with the name Coleman on it and two army ponchos snapped together made the tent until it rained and then they unsnapped to be ponchos again. (Sure was tough finding a safe spot where the dinosaurs wouldnt' step on you! :p

Ponchos? BTDT. But when I was a "kid"

My $100 $100 coleman tent has travelled across two continents. Its worn out and time for a new one.
