title says it i have a little mrp t220 that does 50 x 2 and need to know what comps will play well of that and ones that i can hear in person.

There are memphis, alpine, jl, polk, infinity, pioneer, boston, and rockford dealers here in columbus.

And my budget is that of a father of one and one on the way in 3 weeks and a wife that has a ear that doesnt hear the difference between stock and aftermarket 6.5s .

So budget of 150 at the most.:(

If you are buying locally I think the Polk db and Infinity Reference series are going to be closest to your budget. The offerings from Alpine, JL, Boston and Rockford will probably be closer to $200. I know Memphis makes good amps but I don't know much about their speakers. Sometimes local shops will have closeout specials - you might be able to find a great deal on higher end speakers that are discontinued.

In the end, speaker selection is highly subjective so you may end up liking a speaker at lower price point vs. more expensive models. From an ease of installation standpoint, a lot of our members have had good success with the Polk and Infinity speakers.

If you buy online chances are that you can get higher end speakers for a lot less than what you would pay locally. The caveat is usually the lack of manufacturer's warranty

Check out the JL's in my sig. eBay prices are around $160. These 6" speakers require al little bit of modification to your speaker baskets and some spacers. They sound great.
