Rear A/c and Homelink problems/questions - Click HERE for Original Thread

Just picked up my new EX-L yesterday. Two problems/issues:

1. The rear A/C vents - all air seems to come out the bottom floor vent, whether hot or cold air. NOTHING comes out the main center console vents. What's up with that? That's not how it worked on my '03 Pilot.

2. The Homelink wont seem to "train" to my garage door opener remote. Again, had no problem getting it to work on my '03. On my '07 I never get the Homelink light to flash quickly, indicating it has captured the signal from my garage door remote. It will easily capture the signal from my neighborhood's front gate remote in just a few seconds, so I know the Homelink works. But I tried for an hour to get my garage door remote to work with no luck.

Am going back to the dealer to have them look at these things. Anyone have similar experience or suggestions? Am I missing something?

Try this thread for some help on the homelink issue:

The instructions in the Pilot manual did not work for mine either, although they did work for my other car's homelink. Is your opener Genie intellicode by chance? That is what mine is.

I don't remember the exact sequence change, but I believe I found it by reading that thread. It does work now and all is well.

1) Try changing the mode settings and fan speed. Most likely it is okay, but you can visit the dealer if all else fails.

2) Your neighborhood gate doesn't use a rolling code, so it is always more simple to train than the rolling code GDO. Make sure you are following the Homelink instructions completely. The buttons you need to press on the GDO will vary by brand. If all else fails, clear all of the codes on the Homelink. I once had trouble training a button because it was already trained to a different door - had to clear all codes to get it to work.

mmmmark,
Thanks for your post (found it under search). Your specific reference to the Genie Intellicode really helped. That's what mine is, and after reading your post, I then was able to realize that I had a rolling code opener. I didn't install the opener, but had assumed it was an older one (opener seemed so basic), so I hadn't moved on to the other instructions for the rolling code.

With these instructions, I was on my way (though slowed down by having to troubleshoot my opener after I accidentally knocked one of the connecting wires for the 'SafeTBeam' off.)

Thanks to all on your Homelink posts.
