groaning noise / shudder when turning front wheels - Click HERE for Original Thread

Has anyone noticed a groaning noise or a slight shudder in the front wheels? I've actually noticed this for a couple years now: when I make a hard turn at a very low speed there is a slight shimmy or shake that I can feel in the steering wheel. My wife insists she "never" feels this; I know that I do, but don't know what to make of it. Any ideas?

There is a TSB where the symptom is "a pop or clunk is coming from the front suspension while turning". (see here)

The problem is related to loose mounting bolts on the steering gearbox. It looks like it affects the 06 model year.

See the attachment in the thread link.

Thank you for the information on the TSB; but the sound is not a popping or a clunk; and I drive a 2004. It sounds more like the power-steering - a shudder, so to speak.
