How to test the AWD function on the Pilot? Thanks for your inputs,

Go out and find some muddy, rut strewn, mud bog.... preferably with the mud/slush just at the level of the bottom of the driver's door and go for it!!!!!

JUST KIDDING!!!

Maybe a sandy beach or loose pebble surface and try to peel out. The front tires would break loose and the VTM4 would kick in and you could hang partly outside the driver side and hear/see the tires spin just a bit until they get traction.

Find a wet boat ramp (maybe a steep one) and back down it close to the water. Then, without hitting anything or anyone, stomp on the gas to see if rear tires grab for traction as you drive back up the ramp.

Go out in the local shopping center parking lot and step on it all the way to floor really really fast when the parking lot is wet. You should be very careful that nothing is in front of you though, it will peel out spinning the tires a little, then just haul freight in a fairly straight line until you take your foot off the gas. DO NOT LET THE TACH GO INTO THE RED AREA!!!! The yellow is ALSO BAD!
