With the bad weather someone must have slid into and busted my side view mirror. Looking for info as to any recommended parts places. How difficult a DIY job is it? Dealer or body shop? 2005 Pilot

Pretty easy to replace. Click on Muth Mirror in my profile. It will take you to my DIY Install for the Muth Mirrors. It will show you pictures how to remove the OEM mirror. Just snaps in place when you install.

I had the same issue. Someone rubbed up against my mirror. I had to buy the entrire assembly to get the replacement outside cover.

The mirror is easy to replace if you understand how to remove interior panels without breaking them. The plastic interior cover is tricky to remove. Also be careful to not drop the mirror. Protect the exterior door panel with a towel or small blanket. It took all of 15 minutes to replace my mirror.

I have a used 2005 Pilot EX-L passenger side power heated mirror for sale. It has a small cosmetic scratch. Otherwise the mirror is perfect.

color is sage brush pearl.

I'm always surprised how helpful this group and site are.

Well I had to replace more then the mirror as the shell was cracked. So I bought the assembly BUT find it hard to remove the interior triangular piece to get to the screws. I see one person recommended pulling the upper part but they broke a clip as well. I know those clips can be tight as I have already tried and then came here for some possible insight.

By the way Majestic Honda has great prices and incredible delivery. Especially compared to my local dealer. I ordered some touch-up paint from my local, first. Then that night ordered online thru Majestic and I got the part from them first which happens to be 1000 miles away. DAMN I hate my local dealer.

I tore the pass side mirror off my 06 Ody, ordered a new one and it was a piece of cake to replace, it was remove three screws and a plug, and you were good to go. The inside cover can be a pain, just wiggle gently at the top while pulling stright out, (yes its hard to grip) but be patiant (SP) it will pop out, then lift up and off.

If you haven't purchased it already, check to see if you have a certifit in your area. They have dirt cheap oem style parts, although some suck, some are also pretty good for the price. And I feel you on the interior pieces, just take it slow, once you break em there's no going back.

Thanks to a photo I found on here I saw the metal clips. Took all of 20-30 minutes to take off and put on the new mirror assembly.

The interior triangular piece has two clips closer to the door edge and up. The piece has two integrated small plastic hooks and a lip at the bottom edge that hook under the interior door piece. I slide a curved set of hemos under the triangular piece from the window side, (window down) and pushed little by little and pulled gently on the upper part only. The two clips gave way then had to wiggle the hooks off the interior door.

Removed 3 screws two under the plastic triangle piece one outside the weather stripping of the door. Slapped the new mirror on, (extra set of hands helpful), plugged in the wire connector, tested it, popped on plastic and good to go.

Thanks
