| It looks like whatever piece was regulating the slow opening and closing of the sunglass holder in the roof fell into the space between the "dome light, homelink, sunglass holder" and the roof and the ceiling pad. I heard it rattling around as it slide over to the passenger side ceiling of the car when I made a turn. Now the sunglass holder flies open, launching the glasses into the back seat. So, my question is 2 fold. What is the name of the piece that regulates the tension of the Sunglass holder and how can I go about purchasing one? It appears to be something I can do myself, judging by the info I have found on people installing that conversation mirror in later models. Any advice is welcome. Thanks |

If you are still under warranty, get it replaced on your next service. I had the opposite problem: The "gear" on mine stripped out and caused my door to stick shut. Got the whole assembly replaced last month.
If need to do it yourself, you can problably find the part on Majestic Honda. Although I wonder if you could just get the 06 conversation mirror from hondacuraworld.com. |
