I recently took my Pilot to the dealer to add a fiew accessories (AW floor mats, cargo cover, rear mud guard). I know... I could have gotten them much cheaper and installed them myself. But I wanted them ASAP and didn't have the time on my hands.
I get to the dealer and in addition to letting them know about the accessories I want, I also ask them about their window tinting option (for the front door windows). Not knowing that there's a law that limits your tint specs to 20%, I asked the service guy if their tint would match the same as in the rear windows (that comes stock at 40%). He said, "yes". So I agreed to have the tint done based on this.
I go pick up my Pilot yesterday and immediately noticed that the front tint was not as "dark" and raised a stink about it. They offered to not charge me for it. Honestly, I didn't mind the tint varying at all, but I made the decision based on the information they gave me (which was wrong). So they should pick up the cost, and they did! |

You're being too hard on yourself... even seasoned Honda mechanics find the floor mats and cargo cover tricky to install.

If you "didn't mind the tint varying at all" then why did you raise "a stink" about it? |

radarbuddy, you've made it clear that you neither own nor like the Pilot -- so why do you still hang around here reading random threads?

Yeah, but you make it sound like you threw a hissy-fit first... |

Has anyone find out the ballpark cost to re-tint all windows?
Looking to go a little darker (35%) +driver and passenger windows. |

For the record, my response (probably an over-reaction) was legit and not to manipulate a free accessory... if this is what you're trying to get at. I own my Pilot, so $159 isn't a stretch. May I speak with my lawyer now?

Cool sense of humor.
BTW, can you email me photos and info regarding your audio and install? |
