| Tim, any chance Hondacuraworld will offer a group buy on the Honda side steps? If so, how much discount? |
|
|
| hondacuraworld |
Things are a little slow here, so what the heck.....
If we can get 10 people on side steps, I'll drop the price 10%. This will only apply to the steps, not the boards. |

Great Tim!!
What does this make the price??
Thanks |
|

| $349.83 :) |

| $349 with shipping included, right? If yes, count me in. |

TIM
Kind of this subject. What about the running boards?
Has there been a group buy on them yet?
Maybe you could combine the two optoins even tho the running boards would cost more. |
|
|

| This is a great price. Count me in!!!! |

| I am up for a Group Buy on Running Board. Tim what is the best price??? |

| I am interested in the Side Steps. Can I get your phone number? |
|
|
| 4603pba |
| Are the side steps just to look good? I tried a set out on a demo at the dealer and I found that after you step up on them, you have to bend down to get in the Pilot. Has anyone found this to be the case? |

I don't use them, I just step around them. We got ours for our small children to use. They work out great for them. If it's just adults or have older kids, the sidesteps or running boards aren't that useful as a step but look great and help to keep the sides free of road grime.

Looks like we're already halfway there!
When we reach 10, I'll okay the buy, set a timeframe, and tell you to call me :4: |

Add me to the list.
My son keeps pulling on the net (on the back of my seat) to get in, and I keep waiting for it to break. |

| Catbert, the side steps should cure the net problem right away. My three and 5 year old did the same thing until the running boards went on. |

| Tim, we have close to 10 people. Can you start processing the order for people who expressed interest? I like to install the side steps before it gets really cold out there. |

| Sorry, I had an unexpected expense, i'm gonna have to bail on the side steps for now. |
|

According to my count, we are up to 8 who have committed so far. All we need are two more wise shoppers that are willing to take advantage of this incredible deal.
Who is it gonna be??? |

| after the Pilot meet this weekend I will have made a decision, but I am leaning that way (buying the steps) |

| Tim, what's the count now? By the way, what's so magical of having 10 people sign up to get group buy? |
|
|

I just blew my Pilot budget on the Michelin Cross Terrains. I gotta bail on the Sidesteps for now or the wife is gonna kick my butt. :twak:
Sorry guys.... |

It's not a magical thing, but "group buy" implies by nature of buying in a group to get a better discount, which is what was requested in the beginning. |

Will there be a group buy for CARGO TRAY AND CARGO COVER in the near future? I waited for soooooo long. |

Older than dirt--
good luck on your install. I like my steps, no grand kids yet but i may be able to teach the grand dogs how to use them but then again they won't be allowed in the pilot yet till it ages some.
sorry i missed the meet. look forward to the next one.
JUST a note about care for the side steps,
I use the aerospace protectorant for my tires, and tried it on the steps and rail too, it does a nice job and water beads on the rails for a while too. have not tried to step on them , may be slick, not sure but I like the looks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
regards,
Bob:25: :25: |

| I just finished installing the side steps and look forward to letting the grandkids give them a try! The installation was not at all difficult and I actually used my torque wrench to "officially" finish torque the bolts. Thanks Tim for the great deal!!! |
|
|
| whitepilot |
| I dont have a torque wrench, will I still be ok or is it time to call on my mechanic friend? |
|
|
| Older than dirt |
| Well, 20 lb-ft isn't a lot od torque. Some earlier installers were having a problem rounding off the bolt heads. If you don't overtighten them, you'll be fine... |

Of course oldthandirt has the only side steps that go down hill! :D
Seriously, the side steps AND running boards are both easy to install. Honda did a good job on planning for these. :29: |

Just ordered Sage Brush Pilot. Should be getting it in a week or two.

| We have eight inches on our deck! Just took the Pilot out for a spin (not!!!) - it really works well in the show which the Kentucky Highway department has conveniently forgotten to plow! Would a picture in the garage work??? |
|
|
| cincypilot |
| Any pic would be great. We had 4 inches on the west side of Cincinnati. Tempted to drive the Pilot today instead of the Accord, but opted to leave it in the garage for the day (Snow is fun, Salt is not). The wife wouldn't drive a Hummer in the snow. |

OTD, thanks for the pics. This will definitely help me make my decision. The pilot looks great front and rear, but (IMO), needs something to dress up the sides and the steps add a functional aspect for my 5 year old to climb up.
BTW, nice machine (the Pilot is great looking, too!).:D |

Tim,
Any chance I can get these sidesteps at the group buy price you had last month. I just got my Pilot this weekend and would love to get these. If not, could we try and start a new group buy?
Thanks,

Sorry Preludetundra, this thread is a year old. ;) Hondacuraworld doesn't do group buys anymore.
Keep an eye on the monthly specials over at Hondacuraworld, they might show up on special again.
This thread has updates each month. |

Get them at discount-hondaparts.com for $359 including shipping. It's a better deal than $348 + shipping anyway.

Are you sure shipping is included? Best I can tell it says that shipping fee is computed for each item. I sent them an e-mail requesting a clarification on the shipping fee. Thanks for recommending the site. |
|
|
| Pairallel |
Shipping is definitely included - by standard carrier. I have ordered from them before, and the free shipping is what makes the difference between them and the other 3 or 4 internet sellers.
To verify, add the side steps to your shopping cart, go to checkout, put in the info requested and right before they ask you for your credit card, they will give you a final invoice which shows the free shipping. You can cancel there if you want or you can keep going and buy them.
I'm going to get the side steps myself in a week or 2.
Happy shopping...!:29: |

Thanks for the information. I ordered my side steps today. $358 including UPS shipping. Should have them in 4 or 5 days. |

| Post when you receive these and what condition/packaging they are in. I like the total price for these, just want to make sure that they are OEM Honda side steps and they make it all the way from Cali to VA in good condition with all needed parts. Their website leaves something to be desired, no pictures, no descriptions, maybe they are saving on paying a webmaster, that's why they can offer their accessories for such low prices with shipping included. Thanks!:) |

Pairallel,
I want to thank you for recommending discount-hondaparts.com. Side steps were $358 total. No shipping and no sales tax.
Received them via UPS from California to Virginia in 5 days and in perfect condition. Had them installed today. I like the look.
WAMPASS,
They are Honda OEM side steps. Any purchase over $200 and the shipping is free. The web site does have a 1-800 number. I ordered my side steps by calling and making reference to the web site price. |
|

Glad to hear it! Best price, fast shipping, and a better looking Pilot - what a deal!
"Had them installed" - did you pay for this? How much if you don't mind my asking...?
I will be ordering mine shortly, and would love to avoid doing it in my 40 degree garage...:13: |

| I paid $127 at my Honda dealer to have side steps installed. |
|
|
| Wampass |
| :D GOT MINE YESTERDAY! $358 shipped and it only took 5 days, including the weekend to receive them from Cali to Virginia Beach. Now, just have to find time to install them, between my twins, Holiday parties and trying to take SCUBA lessons this weekend, not sure when they'll get put on. Might look into the dealer doing it, if mine will do it for $127, I'll consider it, that's not too bad. I'm not looking forward to laying on the cold concrete for a few hours! Thanks for the posting about the dealer though, great prices and quick shipment. |
