| So I noticed that K&N only makes a drop in filter for the Pilot. The Ridgeline gets one of the cone filters. They have a dyno test that says it gives 10 peak on the Ridgeline. Has anyone tried to fit that filter on their Pilot? |

| Filter is a filter, you could use a civic filter if you wanted, and some modifications to the piping might need to be done. Chances are though, that they are going to say it wont' work but you can pretty much get any intake to work on any car. |

As expected.. K&N says it won't fit (in their non-committing kind of way), but I am unconvinced. I have a neighbor with a Ridgeline and I will invite him over to do a side-by-side comparison.
I will leave judgement til then. |

My $.02 on K&N is that I've tried a drop-in on like 5 vehicles over the years - and the ONLY one it made a difference on was our 95 Saab 900 with the non-turbo 4cyl. In the others (including the civic and a tahoe) it did virtually nothing. Actually, Honda OEM filters are real good, and given the $40+ for a K&N, and the sort of pain they are to clean and reoil, I'll stick with the factory ones.

The picture in the link supplied by badhondaguy does not show a "drop-in" filter. It appears to be an SRI, or "short ram intake" which would likely be less restrictive than the stock "filter in a box" set up that Honda uses.
Does this increase power and mileage? Maybe. Increase noise? Probably.
It may be worth a try, but before I dump $300+ to K&N, I'll fabricate my own and see if it helps (not hard or expensive to do). |

You're always so negative. What about the weight saved by removing the stock airbox? That's got to be increase the mileage half an inch per gallon at least ;) |

The real issue is the location of the intake for fresh air. Lots of times those "short ram" setups pull in heated air from the engine compartment, and you lose any advantages (plus probably lose some since the air isn't nearly as good). Some people leave the lower part of the airbox in place so the air horn injects air to the cone filter area. The best setups are the ones from K&N or Airraid that have the boxed-off corner for the filter and a setup to get direct air. Air volume is good, as long as it's not hot air....

I've been told by Fujita that their Ridgeline intake will fit the pilot.
