Ok we traded in our 04 EX-L for an 07 EX-L loaded out mainly for the additional safety features and wanted Black to match my Ridgeline. We love the little things that they have added over the last 3 years (Moonroof, DVD, a little more chrome and the upgraded leather.)
We have one problem, the rear hatch will not open consistently. On 2 occasions we have not been able to open the hatch by either using the key fobs or by simply unlocking the car. We take it to the dealership and they say it is going to be a bear to fix. Then this one guy comes over and unlocks it. Same guy both times.
Not sure if he has special powers or if he is not telling us something.
My wife is not happy. 5 Months pregnant and does not want to crawl into the rear area for cargo.
Any suggestions or tips or tricks. |

Mods, this needs to be moved to "problems"
If you can find another dealer who cares then I would. Feel free to contact Honda and complain.
Sounds to me like the actuator in the door that looks and unlocks the door is defective or improperly installed at the factory.
They need to remove the inner door panel and replace/repair as necessary. |

Are you saying that the rear hatch won't open or won't unlock? You mentioned about using the key fobs to open the rear hatch automatically, I didn't know you could do that using the fob, or did I completely misunderstand the post.
If it won't unlock using the key fob by pressing it twice than the dealership should/has to fix it it's under warranty still. And if they don't care enough about your concerns to do that than do what the Rockster said, complain to Honda about it and find another Honda dealer and give them your business. I hate it when dealerships do that!! :3:
I also have a formal black 2007 Pilot and havent had that issue. I hope you get your problem resolved.
This would get more replies if moved to the problems section. ( What Rocky said) |

| Another thought. Are you pressing the unlock button twice? Once only opens the drivers door twice all the doors |

We had an '04 Accord that we traded in on our '07 EX-L RES and I have noticed it operates differently.
I could hit the unlock button twice real fast with the Accord but if I try it on the Pilot it will not unlock. I have to give it more time to react than before.
This might be what you are experiencing?

That was the one feature that almost made my wife want to get the GMC Acadia. It would have been nice if the Pilot had it as she is only 5' 3" and it is a little harder for her to close it than for me.:4:

That is what I was thinking also!
They better make sure they have "Bear repellant" on hand since it will be a bear!:2: |
