I use the rear bumper for the back part of the roof, and then the side steps for each side. It may be helpful to use some sort of extension for the middle, if you can find one.
Just my $.02. |

I use a microfiber wash mitt that goes on the extendable pole but at 6' 7" I really don't need it.;)

| I just use a small 3 step ladder. |

| I use a small aluminum work platform -- you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes for about $35. It's very sturdy, and you don't have to move it as much as a stepladder -- you "walk" down the platform as you wash the roof (I move it once per side). It also comes in handy when painting indoors. |

That is what I would think would be the best thing to use for stability.

| I use a 4' step ladder and move it around quite a bit. I found the side steps put me too close and I'd end up getting soaked while washing. |

| I still have a car wash brush on a pole that I bought when we had our Chev Astro back in the 90's. It's on of those that hooks to the garden hose and can extend, which makes it perfect for washing vans, trailers, boats, and such. |

| This is what I do just in case you don't want to break out the ladder and stuff. I use the sidesteps for the front and sides and then step onto my rear tires to get the back of the roof. Been washing my car like this for a while now. |

Roof?? Clean?? :p
I do like the others and stand on the rear bumper and the sides with the door open.It helps if you have the roof rack to grab hold of and hold onto. Be careful of the belt buckle.

I just use one of those soft bristle foam brushes that are at nearly every manual car wash. |

Me too. At 6'2" I'm not quite tall enough to do it without opne. And when I've tried, always get soaked. |

| i just step on the rear tires (make sure the parking brake is engaged!) it gives me access to pretty much the entire middle and rear sections of the roof. for the front section, i just stand on the side steps and make the stretch. |
