Really purdy Pilots, y'all got there! :D
Glad the weather stayed beautiful...looks like you had a good time!
tibbitts
We had a lot of fun, but were sandwiched in between some real nasty weather. Whitepilot, who came from Indianapolis, heard from his wife that there was a tornado watch in his area, and later, the same front moved into our area. We left Louisville in time to outrun the storm. We haven't heard from Whitepilot yet but are hoping he beat the weather as well. We really did have a good time. At least one group of people came up and wanted to know why we were posing the Pilots for the different pictures. They got a kick out of it and complimented us on our choice of automobiles. All in all, a good time. Havasu, will no doubt be posting a couple of pictures as well. The live update over the wireless web, didn't work because he kept losing the connection. We were in a pretty isolated area.
whitepilot
Made it back safely, had a pretty fun rain/wind storm to drive thru on the way back, Pilot handled it like a dream. wife and kids are fine will be posting at leat one pic later, I ran Into another white pilot at a rest area and asked if they would mind posing for a shot, they obliged and of course I gave them the web address in case they had any intrest in checking us out. time to do a little family time, pics later, it was nice to meet you all!

Great. We were a bit worried about you. Weather channel showed some pretty nasty stuff going north from Louisville that we figured would catch you.

Tell your wife, yes you ARE crazy, but the rest of us are too, and we'd love to meet her sometime (perhaps we can do the Indianapolis Children's museum). Do they serve Buffalo there too?
:)

OK here are some pics...

First, as we arrived in Bagdad, just before finding Buffalo Crossing...

When we arrived at Buffalo Crossing, xyzzy and redrok03 were already there...

We (I) had a concern for the weather - mainly rain. We had loads of sunshine albeit a bit windy! I just powered up the computer after two hours plus in the basement watching tornado warnings (warnings, not watches) - a bit more exciting than I like!!! Glad whitepilot and havasu and her crew made it back home safely as the weather was absolutely horrible right after we departed from Buffalo crossing - kinda makes you wonder of that had anything to do with it??? I'll edit the pictures I still have that have not been posted and put up what makes sense. Wife, grandkids and I all enjoyed everyone's company and the opportunity to see and touch other Pilots! Definitely going to add the side steps - thanks for the "trial run" xyzzy!!! Merry outing to all, and to all a good night...

OTD, we outran the weather all the way home.
One bad weather cell appears to have passed south of here.
The really big one (that I think is over you now, to the west of us)
hasn't arrived here yet.

OK here is the next picture: After Older than Dirt arrived, another pic before we go in to partake of Buffalo lunch!

We had a great time too. Can't wait till our next outing. Pilots are so much fun and attract a great bunch of people.

Has anyone heard from Chris? The 2nd set of storms just moved through here, looks like they are going toward Lexington. Hope you guys in Lexington don't have any trouble expecially with the large hail that the weather is reporting.

I'll try to attach some of my pictures when I get the hang of using my daughters camera.

This is a view that only I was in position to take. I may have reduced the size too much.

Just before our food arrived, from our table we saw whitepilot drive by our four pilots out in the parking lot. Soon he arrived inside.
After lunch of Buffalo steak, Buffalo BBQ, Buffalo Chili, Buffalo meatloaf, and Buffalo burgers (did I mention they serve Buffalo?),
we went back out to pose with all five pilots. Here whitepilot proves he has a sunroof! We really missed you sagebrush and sandstone guys!
redrok03
One more.

Next we decided to pose around the vintage Gulf gas pumps.
Great pics from the other side of the pumps, Gary!

Sorry we cut off the back of your PILOT, redrok03!
That wind made it hard to keep the camera still!

L to R in the picture are: xyzzy, Mrs. & Mr. Older than Dirt (with 2 grandkids in the middle), havasu & tibbitts, whitepilot, and Mrs. & Mr. redrok03.

Sage
GREAT pictures everyone! So glad everyone made it home safe & sound.
xyzzy
The kids and I had fun! Thanks for posting the pics everyone. It's always good to meet nice people who have great taste in vehicles! I'm already looking forward to the next one. I'll be hosting the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky outing. At this point we're probably talking about after the holidays.

Nice Pictures Everybody!!! Looks like everyone had a great time. :)

I apologize to all for not making it. I have a wife that doesn't get real excited about driving for over an hour. I didn't mention anything before becuase I worked on her to the last minute. "so what do you want to do today?" "oh, I don't know, we can still make it down to KY in time" Instead she went out and bought a new couch! Should have dragged her out, would have been cheaper!!!
sandman
Hi-
the photos look great. I really think I missed a good time.
Maybe I will feel better next time. Let me know if any one read my former posts about the bumpons and the exchange of info or aol buddy names.
I hope that we can have another get together that I can attend.
That extra 2 hp will really cut down on your mpg with all the extra weight.:)
Regards to all,
Bob

sandman & hubby45251,

We missed you but we understand! I thought it was pretty good getting 5 of us together. Would have been really nice to see more colors all in a row. Maybe next time! It will probably be up in northern Kentucky, we are talking about maybe going to the Newport on the Levee area, and the acquarium, probably after the first of the year.
wroberts3x27
Hey guys I missed the meet again. I had every intention to attend. Sandman and I even arranged to caravan together, but, work reared its ugly head and I had to work all Saturday night. Lack of sleep combined with the nasty weather Sunday and I decided to give up. It would have been nice to see a sage and sand represented at the meet though. Enjoyed the photos of what I missed. Nice to finally put bodies and faces with names. Don't forget me for the next one.

So if you thought it was elsewhere before, it's not your imagination.
Thanks admin!

I just got my Accord 2 days ago and love it. I got black instead of blue and really wanted Navigation. 180 voice commands are pretty cool. Maybe when the lease is upppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cincypilot
Is there a new meet planned for Cincinnati?
tibbitts
Nothing for sure right now, but we have talked about doing something in the Cincy area next time. Many of us have children and/or grandchildren and are considering something either in one of the museums, or maybe the Newport Aquarium, followed by dinner in a nice restaurant. Those that do not have kids, or are not interested in either of the other activities could join us later just for the dinner part. You are from Cincy. Any thoughts or suggestions? We will probably not do anything until after the holidays. Give us some ideas.
cincypilot
We have frequented the Newport Aquarium, so that's an option. Nothing else pops into my mind right now. Best suggestion for dinner would be Montgomery Inn Boat House for some of those famous ribs. It's right on teh river on the Ohio side. There are also some restaurants on the river in Newport. Are you thinking some time in January?
tibbitts
ribs sound good to me. yes, we are thinking January. Let's get the holidays behind us. We should decide on a date soon though. we can put it out to the group. I more or less have a distribution list of all interested parties. will try and get an email out soon
Casanewt
Would anyone be interested in meeting @ one of 2003 races @ Kentucky Speedway?

-Newt
tibbitts
I would probably enjoy the races, but not too sure about the rest of the family. let's see what the others say.
