| I've seen way more xA's and a few more Yaris hatchbacks than I've ever seen Fits around here. |

Honda's been manufacturing capacity constrained on the current gen Fit. They' re now sourcing it from additional plants (I believe that's 'new' feature. |

all US Fits come from Japan, and the plant is at capacity. they also supply fits for the domestic (japanese) market and probably other countries as well. so that's why fits have been so scarce. they are a definite hit though and honda is selling each and every one they can send over here without any trouble.
i suppose the new fit will be produced at the suzuka plant where the current fit is made, and our NA market fit production will be moved to sayama for a year. then by that time the indiana plant should be online to build the next generation fit for north america. (japan gets the new fit for the 2008 model year, we get it 2009) |

This is off the subject of the fit. What is your opinoin of the sienna vs odyssey. My research leans toward the sienna ,gas is better and a little better endurance. Cost is sbout 2,400 dollars cheaper than odyssey ex, equipped the same except the sienna has mp3 plug. Also the sienna is 2008 and odyssey is 2007. I am aware that the sienna is all new in 2009 and honda gives a refresh in 2008.
I drive 35000 miles a year. Any pearls of wisdom or comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help |

Conventional wisdom is that the Sienna has nicer fit/finish, a nicer interior, and is smoother and quieter. The Honda is more practical, has more space, and drives a little nicer - not so numb.
Beyond this, they're both good vans and you won't go wrong either way. If you can get the Sienna that much cheaper, it looks like the better value, although I don't understand why it's cheaper - typically equipped, the Sienna is typically a bit more expensive. But I'm no expert.
