Saw this on Horsepower TV today and thought it was pretty interesting I was wondering if anyone has seen/heard about it.

On Horsepower TV, they ran it on a dyno LS7 and actually gained horsepower and about a 10% decrease in gallons of fuel consumed per hour at wide open throttle. They ran three runs without then with on both 91 and 89 octane fuel.
They have listed for the 2007 Pilot for about $180. + $14. Shipping. |

Hmmm, lets see.
With the big push for better MPG to make CAFE ratings, none of the auto makers have stumbled onto this amazing technology?:rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I watched the show you are talking about and didn't take the same message away. On the last test, on 89 fuel, they didn't gain any additional HP, but they said they used about 2 gph less fuel at full throttle.
Ficth has been around a long time and I know their catalyst stabilizes fuel extremely well.
On an engine like this LS7 that's pushing the limits of compression and timing and therefore very sensitive to the fuel being used.....especially at full throttle, I believe what they're saying.
I use the pellet cages (that you drop into fuel tanks) in my seasonal toys (sleds, boat etc.) and haven't had a problem with clogged jets ....and I did before. |

| I just watched that segment over and you are correct. They gained HP with the 93 octane fuel and stayed relatively the same (HP and Torque) with the 89 octane but flowed less fuel. |

Now you guys have me curious.
I quick web search tuned up many glowing remarks (all from Fitch distributors, or performance magazines that live on advertising).
I figured with such amazing results in such an important area we would have found a university or other research facility touting the benefits.

Pure snake oil.
And is everyone aware that companies PAY to get placements on shows like "Horsepower TV"? These shows are basically becoming multii-product infomercials with a little wrenching now and then to hide that fact.
Be sure to combine the Fitch Catalyst to the Tornado vortex generators to get double the mileage. And put Duralube in the crankcase as well.
