Very moving. The fight to live puts a lot of things into perspective. Medicine does marvels, but too often just frantically attacks the inevitable, yet the strenght of spirt to live need not be dominated and in the end lives on in our memories. I wonder if the kid had liver cancer, or what, and why the father is so absent? I had a sister who died at 8 years and am sometimes haunted by the unspeakable fear that anything might happen to one of my 2 boys. Every parent would give their own life in a heartbeat to protect their child but we don't have that option so we hide that fear away and give our lives everyday, hopefully a little more aware after witnessing someone else's struggle of spirit.

Thanks.

Tears.............No parent should have to go through the lose of a child. May God bless this dear woman and that she may find the strength to get through this......and hopefully we will all gain a little more understanding to help others in their moments of trial.

Totally agree with all of the above. What makes the piece so poignant is that it is in black and white. I watched it the first time without the captions and second time with. Much more heart wrenching the second time around.

There are many touching and tear-jerking things in this world.

Some are captured like this, others are only known to a few people.

We focus on these and do our best to believe the others don't exist.
