Anyone purchased any furniture from costco.com

In the market for a new bedroom set. Liked a set on costco.com.... but not sure of online furniture buying...

The furniture is manufactured by a company called Lifestyle Solutions Inc.

For my son's room, I purchased two pieces from a collection very similar to this: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Produc...wse=&lang=en-US
I was not impressed with the quality. Holes were drilled incorrectly, incompletely or not at all in the case of the trundle bed. Assembly instructions were terrible, a barely legible photocopy.
I'm fairly handy and was able to handle these small issues but, overall, my expectations were not met. The materials used and quality of the finish was average, at best. I wouldn't do it again. I had similar issues with a ping pong table purchased from Costco.com around the same time. From now on, I want to put my hands on items such as these before buying.

you can always haul it to your local costco to return it if its not to your liking.

sounds like maybe you want to buy from a company that has the furniture built already? all you need to do is open the box and the furniture just needs to be put in place. anywhere you buy where you have to assemble the furniture yourself, you could potentially have the same problem where a part might not fix exactly or the predrilled holes are not drilled correctly.

having said that, I've bought a few furniture items from costco, and have never had problems with what they sell.

i'm an industrial designer with over 8 years of furniture design experience. i've designed everything from automotive interiors to contract office furniture to residential furniture and even some RTA.

One of my clients sells to costco and most of the other big box stores. most of these companies do all of their manufacturing in asia. you get what you pay for.

what do you want to know?
