I own a 06 EX-L and I just purchased set of 4 winter tire(Michelin Latitude X-ICE) on OEM LX 16” steel wheel WITH TPMS from the local Honda Dealer. I have read another thread (http://www.hondapilot.org/forums/sh...ght=steel+wheel)
stating that you can not have OEM LX 16” with TPMS.
I have been driving for couple days and I do not see a TPMS warning in the dashboard. Is there a way to check to see if the steel wheel has the sensor?
Also, my OEM LX steel wheel did not come with center cap. If I leave the center hub exposed to the salt would it be a problem?
Any advice would be appreciated. |

| Normally the TPMS valve stem is metal, not rubber, and comes with a silver colored plastic valve cap. Also, when you put your key in the ignition you should see the tire lights on the dash panel. If they light up, then go out when you start the car, the TPMS is working. Did the dealer charge you for TPMS valves? It should be on the invoice. |

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the dealer did charge for EVERYTHING including OEM TPMS sensor. When I start the car, the tire light on the dash panel does light up and then go out so I guess its working. I was all happy until I saw a posting saying that you can not have TPMS on the LX steel wheel. |

Sorry for late reply...
05 LX comes w/ steel wheels & TPMS.
03-04 LX comes w/ steel wheels & NO TPMS. |

I have a set in my garage... let me know if you are interested. :4:
P.S. You'll need new set of lug nuts that have rubber ring to hold the center caps just like other Hondas (e.g. Accord & Civic) w/ OEM wheel covers. |

| I know there are quite a few posts but I would appreciate any help. I broke my valve stem while filling it up with air. Is this a dealer only repair? How much will it cost? I have a 2005 EXL and it has the air pressure monitoring. Thanks. |

Is your car still under warranty? If yes, try to claim from dealer. If not, try the tire shop to see if they can fix it. |
