New shoes for Pilot - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi folks!

I'm a proud owner of an '05 Honda Pilot EX-L for more than 2 years now, it's my loyal companion everywhere I go and never gave me any problems. The stock wheels and tires work well but I got tired of the old look, it's time to spruce it up a little bit!

Went to a local wheel shop here instead of ordering online, it's easier to deal with if any sort of problem arises. The trouble is, there isn't much design to choose from so I went shop hopping 'till I found the one I liked.

It's an Exel 18" GT, silver color w/ machined lip, 5 spoke wheel, 45 offset, 7.5" wide. Tires are Sumitomos, 255/55/18 with lip guard, side wall looks nice and the price is just right too. Here are some pix ;)

The tire thickness looks just right for the Pilot, the wheels with 45 offset looks good on th tirewell, doesn't stick out the fenders and no rubbing issues.

Thanks to everybody at HondaPilot.org, I have spent a few weeks learning about the Pilot and looking at the gallery pics. BTW, I have the stock wheels on sale on the classifieds thread if you're interested.

Thanks for looking!

Looks great, Rod! I too like the look of the 18s and the aasociated wheel size better than anything bigger. Thanks for posting pics!

Those look very nice! Can I ask how much that setup costed?

Thank you for the kind comments.

Nathan_P ~ I paid 1300 + tax all in, I re-used the TPMS sensors from the stock wheels though.

How's the ride compared to the OEM setup you had?

Handling has definitely improved, ride comfort and noise is about the same until you hit rough/ bumpy road, not too bad, the wife barely noticed it. ;)

The new look, however, just like taking a new car for a spin.
