Canadians allowed in on this?
Also in the picture, is that the standard pilot grille? It looks chromed in that pic, but the linked pic looks like the standard one, to make sure I got this, it includes just the cross bar part?
THanks for the info |

The OEM grill (not included in the Casey's package) is painted gunmetal to match the headlight housings (not noticeable in this pic). I just washed, waxed, polished, etc. and the angle makes it especially shiney.
The billet grill is brushed aluminum but has a clear over it so it looks shiney at some angles -- I wouldn't describe it as chromes though.
Hope this helps. |

If you want to add people to the list in your original post, click on the "edit" button just below your first post. Then simply edit your list with name number 2, 3, etc... Then save changes and anyone coming to this thread can see how many people have signed up.
BTW, the "group buy" is all up to you - arrangements, details, etc... |

Hello everyone again!!!
Unfortunately, somehow my first post was altered and cut, so most of the information I've listed is gone.
I re- populated the list of potential participants.
1. tobudobutsukoen
2. dontnomuch007 -- cut version -- Confirmed
3. GreenMachine -- Cut Version - Confirmed
4. kean
5. jay3 --- Uncut version -- Confirmed
6. skyline377
7. Juice916 - Uncut version -Confirmed
8. Timahuz - Cut Version- Confirmed
I am also attaching the image of alteration which needs to be done to accommodate front license plate.
Please,
Send me confirmation that you are willing to participate, and state if you want altered (cut) or un-cut version of the grill. Send me a message via PM or e-mail kristinaspb@yahoo.com
I will wait another week. If I don't get PM in one week I will consider the person abandoned a group buy and I will delete the name from the list. And also include your active e-mail address since Casey will most probably send a paypal invoice to your e-mail to accomplish the group buy.
If most of the participants will reply I will contact Casey and discuss final price and method of how we will process the group buy.
Thanks everyone. |
|

| As some members requested I've photoshopped the look of the grill. basically cut version will have a gap to let the license plate snapping holder go through the opening. |

| Hey, i had a quick question. Is it simple install? Does it reguire any cutting or anything like that?? |

Once again.
I am not the salesperson of these grills.
I am just another pilot owner trying to dress my car up.
I don't know if Casey Has install instructions.
There is very detailed search in this forum on how to install the grill. It does not require drilling or altering the adjacent structures.
You can read through Josey's thread
at:
Installation
Or alternatively you can search the forum with keywords: Caseys Customz |

timahuz, Thank you for your adove posted thread.
In respond to your group buy, please cancel my order in buying the Caseys Customz grille as I did some research on, (Josey's thread on Installation of Caseys Customz grille) I didn’t realize that the top grille insert is not a one piece unit, but instead, five smaller pieces and only held in place with plastic ties not with metal clips or bolts. :8:
I’m looking for a one piece insert grille for this Honda custom accessorie grille (part:#08F21-S9V-100)

OK guys,
Sorry for long delay. (been working hard):))
I just called Casey and he promised me to declare a discounted price on Monday (04/21/08). I've sent him e-mail addresses of people who has confirmed their intention to purchase the grill insert.
Here is the final list.
1. dontnomuch007 -- 5 pcs cut version 06-08
2. GreenMachine -- 5 pcs cut version 06-08
3. jay3 --- 5 pcs uncut version 06-08
4. Juice916 - 5 pcs uncut version 06-08
5. Timahuz - 5 pcs cut version 06-08
6. skyline377 5 pcs cut version 06-08
7. tobudobutsukoen -- 06-08
So please wait few more days and you will be rewarded.
Also, Skyline did not send me his e-mail so I could not be sure that he is willing to participate. And some other members who initially was going to participate in group buy did not send emails too. If you still want to be part of a deal please send me you e-mail to my PM (private messaging). Casey needs them to send you custom invoices.
Thanks everyone.
P.S. Dear Eversalonna, I finally understood what kind of grill you wanted to find. Sorry for misunderstanding. |
|
|
| timahuz |
Ok.
Finally I have finalized this group buy.
Casey contacted me and his proposed price
is $125 shipped. (vs $150 regular).
Alteration needed to be done for some of us will be done for free.
Please Let me know how it sounds to you ASAP.
For me it is acceptable price and I am ready to
go ahead and buy it.
Thanks. |

Grills went on pretty easy. Just a tip, cut your tie wraps after you have them all on, and do it from the bottom up. I was in a rush to get it done, and I scratched the $hit out of my forearms on the sharp edges of the tie wraps. I didn't realize how bad until I was done. OOPS.
Like I said though, looks great. |

How to install the grille inserts with plastic ties? There is no instruction came with the pkg. I received pkg via DHL ground yesterday.
Do you have to un-button the fasteners and remove the top black plastic which locateed on top of radiator in order to get to the back side of grille?
I will install it this weekend and post photo |

Yeah, that's what I did. My arms were long enough to reach down to the lower part too.
As for attaching them, I just used the wraps around the vertical supports for both grills. On the very bottom one I had to use two wraps end to end to attach the ends of the grill. I don't know if there's a better, but this works for me. |

| I think the black plastic tie is flexible, so I can do the tie & pull tight in the front (without remove the fastener & top cover) . After cut off the excess, then I will use a plier to move the plastic tie around so that the larger portion (cut lock end) are sit at the side or back position. This probably make the jobs a lot easier / faster. |

Grille Insert by GrilleTech - Polished Chrome - 5 pcs overlay on OEM Grille.
By above method, plus a hook shape paper clip pulling the plastic tie end from back to front; I completed all the 5-pcs inserts less than 30 mins. No need to remove any fasteners, or black plastic shield on top of radiator. Because of varied distance between support columns of grille / inserts, about 1/3 of the secure process need 2 plastic ties joined together to get the job done.
