I've attached a chart showing the actual gas mileage I've experienced since I purchased my 2007 Pilot in early August, 2007.
Note that the spikes which get near or pass 20 MPG are associated with long trips (1000 miles) I took during that period. Otherwise, most of my travel is suburban driving, with about 20 % on the highway. |

Hey welcome to HP.org !!!!
Cool graph for the last 6 months or so.... could the gradual decrease in gas mileage be attributed to a: longer warmup idling (burning gas but not going anywhere and doing it at a rich mix) and b: winter formulated gas that doesn't provide as much power?
Anyway... welcome again and put up a pic or two of your Pilot.

daddysme,
Welcome to HP.org!!! It would make your very nice chart more meaningful if we knew what your location is. Please add it to your profile.
Thanks

| Cool graph, welcome! Looks like the trend might just be fewer long trips recently. :7: |

That, or depending on where he lives, the introduction of oxygenated fuels for the winter months. |

| I haven't had any long trips since the middle of October. Also, the winter in my area (suburban Boston) has been relatively cold, and I would say that on average,I warm my car 5-10 minutes before leaving for work about 2-3 times per week. |

That'll certainly cause a hit on your gas mileage.
Great chart though!!!
Thanks! |

| That graph reminds me why I get in the car, start it up, roll out, and make my way gently through the neighborhood while the interior warms up and it reaches operating temperature. My idle time from startup - as long as it takes to shift into reverse.:p |

I'm looking forward to seeing the mileage go back up now that we're out of oxygenated fuel season here. :4: |
