lol Thanks for the compliments!!

No that isn't, that is my loving husband who makes all this possible along with the upcoming upgrades.

Can't wait for the Accord to get the 4.0L in it along with our S2K witha 4.0L and twin turbo in her. :2:

:claphead: :claphead: Bravo, Bravo. That's a very very nice job.

I like how clean the engine looks. But just one thing why the outside red looking, and the inside blue.

We will be changing that. We are going to have our body/paint guy take all the dents and dings out of it and the paint it that metallic red color that are on the newer pilots to match the engine bay. Then we will decide what color will go best with the pieces that are blue so we can repaint them. The swaps on the rims will be red and the calipers will be going to Black.

There was nothig wrong with the engine itself but the tranny needed to be done so since we had to drop the k-frame to get the transmisison out we figured we just do both of them.

We put new bearings on, upper and lower, new rings, pistons, TB, water pump, alternator and basically cleaned the block, heads and all that really good before powder coating them. new belts, hoses on the engine side. On the transmission side we replaced clutches, filter, all gaskets, several bearings, 2nd gear and reverse gear.

no we haven't because it was not a performance rebuild. If we would have done a performance rebuild we would have done several different parts for the rebuild such as Cl typeS cams and pistons, total seal piston rings, port & polish heads and Intake, supercharger, under drive pulleys, after cooler changed out the diffs with LSDs, but we have an Accord and an S2K for performance that we are planning on doing that way, the pilot is the reliable daily driver with a little visual appealing to it.

I see that you have a optima batterie, wich i'm surre it holds more charging power, but my question is. How do you compare it to the stock batterie. Can you really feel the difference when the ignition gets turn on.

Because i want to buy me one of those but don't know wich one or how many cranks.

There is definately a difference when it's cold out.

You just need to get a red top.

Where did you get those polished headers? I don't think I've even looked at the OEM setup, but I imagine it's a manifold instead.

Nice job on the rebuild. When looking at the pics, I thought I was looking at a different engine because it went from looking used to brand new. Did you just use new OEM Honda parts?

WE did use all OEM replacement parts but everything you see was cleaned by us and then powder coated or clear coated. The polished header are from an Acura. WE thought they would fit but they do not so we are selling them to a friend. My husband is also a fabricator so he will be making a set of custom ones for the pilot along with a custom dual exhaust sometime between now and the end of April. I believe in a earlier ppost I mentioned what what we used and what we would have used if we makign the Pilot a performance vehicle. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Wow! These are great pics, tunergirl! I'm actually surprised at how ratty the pistons look and how much oxidation is apparent, I wonder if my 60k Pilot would look like that if I tore it down. Your rebuild looks sweet; the interior looks nice too. What did you do on the steering wheel? Is it neon or just reflection? BTW, let us know about exhaust system, I might be interested in one and seem to live not too far from Sterling.

Just reflection and flash
