Woo hoo! My wife and I are so stoked about our new '08 Pilot! We were actually debating between the CRV and the Pilot but with all the incentives we couldn't pass it up! Great thing is we got it for around the same price as a similarly equipped CRV.
Anyways I'm new here and thought I'd vent some of my excitement! Here's some pics...

I didn't vote in the poll, but just wanted to comment that while it's a lot of wrench turning, everyone who's done the Honda boards say it's an easy direct bolt-up.
Save some money and do it yourself, and save some more by buying from our site sponsor, Hondacuraworld.

If you are doing the OEM and can read, it's easy to do.
I installed the Hunter ones and it was easy to do also.
But you have to have to right tools. |

| a torque wrench is required per the instructions, but i didn't use one when i installed my side steps. they haven't fallen off yet, so i guess i tightened them enough:D |

| Sorry I am late on this but you will need an extension for your ratchet. I suppose you could do without it but it will take a LOT longer. |

Congrats on your new ride. Don't know how strong you are, but I bought a torque wrench after I busted one of the nuts, while installing my OEM side steps, from over-torque. So it's not all about tightening them a lot, but more about tightening them correctly.
Just my 2cents. |

| Congrats, very nice looking Pilot. Why do you even need side steps? They add weight and detract from aerodynamics. I can see it if you're short and need a boost to step in, but otherwise, in my opinion, it's not necessary--unless you want it just for looks. :1: |
