Howdy folks,
I just purchased my 2008 Honda Pilot EX-L and I was removing the sticker on the drivers side window. Much to my chagrin, the sticker came off leaving a massive glue residue. What are you using to get that darn stuff off without doing any damage?
Thanks for any help! |

Welcome to HP.org!!! What decal are you talking about. I've always had good luck using a razor blade to remove stickers/decals from window glass. Any residue that remains can be removed with Goo-Gone or WD-40.
Also, please add your location to your profile.
Thanks! |

Thanks for the reply and welcome. I used this site as part of my ongoing research while searching for the vehicle I wanted.
The decal is some factory sticker that only the buyer is suposed to remove. I liken it to the mattress tag information.
I used a razor blade but am still having problems getting the remains. I searched high and low for my wd-40 can but the garage gnomes have ported it to some unknown location! So, it looks like it will be a trip to the store for me to obtain a new one. Which, given the fact that I have only drivdriven my new car 5 miles, is not that unpleasant of a prospect. |

| welcome to the board! nail polish remover is great for removing that sticky residue. usually, after the sticky gunk is gone, i go over it with some rubbing alcohol on a cloth to clean it up and get the smell out. make sure the area is well-ventilated! |

| Try WD40 to wipe off the adhesive residue. Then use Windex. |

Hair dryer and a razor blade followed by rubbing alcohol should get it. If you've not done any of the other stickers, hair dryers work wonders. |

The WD-40 is the safest and won't degrade the rubber around the window and if you decide to debadge the outside of the vehicle it won't remove the paint or wax. |
