Just wondered if anyone out there may be able to give me some advice on some good summer tires for my 2003 pilot. Ive got Nokian SUV 5 winter tires on right now and will be changing them for something else at the end of April. I live in the Yukon.....I need a summer tire that will be good on the highway and on gravel, as well as good for the occassional light offroading (logging roads, etc) and can handle well in the rain.
Any suggestions???? |

Welcome to HP.org.
You should try a search as there have been several threads on tire choices, including this one just a short time back. |

yukon? I think the bridgestone AT Revo would be great in these kind of environment. It is good in almost all weather, snow, mud, gravel(very puncture resistant as it has deep and aggressive thread design) and wet. Because of it aggressive tire design, there can be some tire noise but it will disappear as you reach operating speeds of 60 mph and above. with their rubber compound, even at almost 60k miles of use I still have enough thread left and it doesn't even hydroplane or slide. I would choose this tire if I plan to drive the Seattle to Anchorage highway. |

I'll be making the "Grand Alaska Trip" in July in my CR-V running my OEM Bridgestone Duellers. After the trip, I plan to install the Goodyear Fortera Triple Terd.
