2005 pilot serpentine belt - Click HERE for Original Thread

The serpentine has been squeaking for a few weeks at start up and today it began squealing loudly. Am I correct in assuming that this has an auto-adjuster and that changing the belt just requires leveraging the adjuster pulley back and slipping a new belt on?

Any tips? 3 years and 26,000 miles seems like it's early to have to change the belt?

Thanks for any help, Mike

It may not be the belt. It could be that the adjuster is going, or a bearing for something it runs around is going. Seems that you are close to ending your warranty, so it might pay to let the dealer handle this one.

My waranty was up 3/15/08.....less than a month ago. 36/30,000.

Any other thoughts out there?

Mike
