Dacia
Hi to all in the wonderful world of Pilot or Honda in general,i too had made some changes in my life but he good news is that i'm still a Pilot man,62500 km later the car (SUV...:D ) still does a great job.My new id on this forum in Dacia but i used to be known as Dac (...if i remember correctly:bonk:)...Borg do you remember when we had a Pilot Club here in town and it was just the three of us....
My wife and i had a busy last 2 years...we bought a house just before the prices went thru the roof, she's still working full time and getting close to finishing her medical training,in the late fall she'll be an LPN or a licensed practitioner nurse,me on the other hand i'm taking some power engineering courses while i work in a hospital looking after the boilers, heat,ac,etc. It's ok but i get a little jittery when i walk past the morgue....:4:,i just hope i won't have to go inside to do any work....
What else....oh yes i almost forgot, last fall i decided to go and visit my old home stead, the country of Romania...but because of school (....and i guess work) my wife could come but instead her brother decided to come along,we made a stop over in Vienna, boy did we have a blast...he's now hooked on plum brandy....he was in shock (i was too) to see gas stations that also double as bars....you can eat and drink and gas up your car :2: ....so every time we stopped to gas up our Opel Corsa we kept starring at people that were holding a beer in one hand and a gas nozzle in the other.....
Anyways the Pilot is doing great,i do have a dent in the hatch area, one night some punks kicked it or something, the alarm did go off but by the time i went outside the buggers took off,i'll try to push the dent out if i can,i just waiting for the snow to go away....
I'm happy to be back here again and i promise to hand around, all the best to everyone.
Dacia :)

Welcome back Dacia, but why the new identity? Why not pick up where you were before as "Dac"?

Hey DACIA!!

I spotted you today near the Millwoods Town Centre after I picked up a few things from Safeway for my wife on my way home from work. I tried to catch up with you but there was too much traffic and you sped through a yellow light and I had to stop for it. Bad Dacia, bad... :D

I knew it was you because of the big sticker you have on top of the rear window.

colorider, the word, "DACIA" in big letters is what's on that sticker. I've always wondered what that meant, but didn't get around to asking him.

It's been about 4 1/2 months since he's been here, but hopefully he'll check back soon and tell us what it means.

Could have something to do with this...

Dacia, in ancient geography was the land of the Dacians. It was named by the ancient Hellenes (Greeks) "Getae". Dacia was a large district of South Eastern Europe, bounded on the north by the Carpathians, on the south by the Danube, on the west by the Tisia or Tisa, on the east by the Tyras or Nistru, now in eastern Moldova. It thus corresponds in the main to modern Romania and Moldova, as well as parts of Hungary, Bulgaria and Ukraine. The capital of Dacia was Sarmizegetusa. The inhabitants of this district are generally considered as belonging to the Thracian nations.

Heh, good find gryphon! I know Dac, or I should say Dacia, is from an eastern European country, just can't remember which one though. But it makes sense now.
