Hi all,
I read some forums about installing adapter for IPOD/MP3 for earlier models and with NAV/RES. But mine doesn't have NAV nor RES, can someone help me what I need to buy to use my AUX button from the front audio panel? Do I need a simple 3.5mm plug or do I need an adapter? and How to connect? (any pictures for the back of audio will be very appreciated)
I want to have all parts before taking apart...
Thanks alot! |

I called the dealership's service dept. and he said I have to buy an adapter to install, no simple way... I could pay $350 to have Honda modify for me which only works with audio stuff. He recommended me to cartoys...
Can anyone tell me if the back of audio has the aux plug that is 14 pin? RCA? 3.5mm? for 2008 pilot EX-L?
thanks |

| I am trying to figure out what the AUX button is in my new 2008 EX-L Pilot. I just bought it 3 weeks ago and no where in the hand book does it say how to activate this or how to use it. If anyone could give me any help that would be great. |

You need to install an aux input adapter unless you have RES (Rear Seat Entertainment option).
Once an input adapter is installed, you push the button.
See my previous link for adapter options. |

| I do have the RES (Rear Seat Entertainment option) and I can not find where it will all tie in together. |

Another approach, which I am using for my 2008 Pilot SE is a "Whole House FM Transmitter" <http://www.wholehousefmtransmitter.com/> which I originally purchased for inside my house with Sirius satellite radio. It works equally well in the Pilot with any input source including MP3, iPod, and satellite radio. The WholeHouse FM transmitter is much stronger than the one which comes with a Sirius system. btw, WholeHouse seems like a family business in Michigan - nice people. Cheers, Merc |
