| I know 255/65/16's are listed as outside the recommended rim width for the stock ex rims but would anybody still run them and or install them. I'd like to get a wider tire but don't know if those would work and or look right with the narrower rim. I know the sidewall would be pushed inwards but with a larger sidewall is that a problem. Just lookin for a few opinions....thanks. |

Please take the size you seek and put it in the search box up towards the top right of the page.
About 6 or so threads exist on this tire size. Hopefully you'll get your answer in one of them.
Thanks |

I've been thinking about the same size when I replace the tires on my '06 before next winter. I haven't found too much information using the search.
Since most tire manufacturers recommend a 7 inch rim for that size tire, I will more than likely just go with a 245/70 16. |

| Check manufacturers website or go to www.tirerack.com and check specification for your tire. There are differencies from brand to brand, size to size. Same size tire from one brand can fit on OEM rim, other won't...I was looking for 255 or even 265 and found few which would fit on stock rim, but I decided to go only one size up... |
