Adding Aux to an 05 with RSE - Click HERE for Original Thread

Proud owner of a Certified "New" 05 Pilot with RSE. Been looking over the board a lot but still haven't found clear answer on a solid solution for Aux with the RSE. Plenty for without. Seems like the PIE X3 will work since it keeps the CD Changer running and just pies in different audio. What other boxes have people got working with an 05 with RSE? I am fine with getting an iPod interface as long as it has a set of AUX as I am planning on adding satellite radio.

Do you mean RES, or rear entertainment system?

There are times when I use the RCA plugs at the rear of the console. One day I might get around to having someone take the console apart and take control of the wires leading to the RCA so I can do exactly what you are thinking of.

that is what i did, just pulled the back of the center console off and the a/v PCB is right there, easy to just solder on to the R and L tap and now use a Belkin Auto Kit in the power adptr in the center console,

Simple and the IPOD just sits in the flip down door under the center arm rest so I can change songs etc.

Yeah the Rear Entertainment System. I thought about using the Aux In with the system, on long trips the kids will be watching a DVD, and from what I can tell you can't listen to Aux-in with the RES while the DVD is on too. So I was hoping that one of the Aux in or iPod/Aux in solutions could be used so that I could listen to Satellite while they are watching a DVD.

I got a casette ipod adapter for exactly those situations.

Between the aftermarket GPS, RCA to Ipod connection, ipod charger, casette adapter for ipod I've got a rats nest of wires on a long ride.
