OK I am planning on getting the Kenwood P-NAV512 (512 HU with the 510 Garmin Nav module bundled together) setup and PIE HON98-AUX and ripping out the CD changer. I am basically going to just leave the stock HU in since I have the rear DVD, and have the Kenwood act as a media gateway (supports DVD, NAV, Ipod, DVD disc filled with MP3s, and SAT radio). So basically the stock HU will always have CD Changer selected and play the Aux out from the kenwood into the Aux In of the PIE. Also going to run the stock DVD signal into the Aux in of the Kenwood so I can watch whatever is on the rear screen if I am so inclined.
So my question is with the rear DVD, is it easy to move the stock HU to where the DVD and CD changer currently are (below the HVAC), and install the DVD and the new Kenwood where the stock HU currently are? Kinda like the stock NAV setup, with the addition of DVD. The Kenwood would be on the below the DVD since the screen pop out and up. Does Honda put plenty of slack in the wiring or is this going to be difficult?
Oh yeah this is an 05 Pilot EX-L with RES. |

I'll answer your question in a moment, but drivers watching TV screen movies is illegal in most if not all states. I'm sure you know about that.
If you look at a NAV equipped 05 you'll see the HU is positioned exactly where you are talking about so there is good chance it will be a bolt in set up. Wiring will be the toughest job.
Enjoy and get back to us with pictures etc of your installation. |

| Yes I know it is illegal, and I am only patching it in because I can. The box will almost always be on Nav cause the XM that I will be using actually is controlled by the Garmin Software (I have a GXM30 antenna). |
