| I have a 2007 pilot.when backing up and turning wheel sharply I get a clunk from the front end.Is this something I should have looked at or is just the CVC joint in a bind.Has anybody else heard this sound? |

| We had a similar problem on our 2008. The clunking noise was coming from the left side. I had my wife drive slowly around the yard while I tried to isolate the noise; I noticed that even when she was not driving but turning the wheel from right to left we had the clunk. I (with caution as my wife was behind the wheel lol) had her put the Pilot in park and I climbed underneath and had her turn the wheel back and forth. I could feel where the clunk was coming from. I called the service department, described my problem and scheduled an appointment. After arriving at the dealer I showed the service manager what I had found he immediately took the Pilot to the service area and found a bolt was loose on the steering rack. He had it tightened, fix under warranty and we were out of there in less than 45 minutes after they took the Pilot back for repairs. |
