OEM wheel/tire weight - Click HERE for Original Thread

The weight of the OEM combo (mine is an '07) is 50 lbs. Couldn't get an answer from Honda so took one off and weighed it. Integrity on tire Rack site lists at 27 lbs for the 16 inch. That leaves the 16 inch alloy at 23 lbs. Weight is a concern for me anyway in moving up in size. I find 18-20 inch tires from 34-40 lbs and wheels from 23.5 to 35 lbs. Some of these combos could add as much as 25 lbs per corner. That seems like a chunk for the suspension, tranny and brakes to handle not to mention the effect on gas mileage. ASA at Tire Rack has a"light weight" 18 inch alloy at 23.5 lbs, tires 34-40 = 57-64 lbs. per.

Good post! I've always wondered what the weight of the stock setup was. You're on the right track by worrying about adding that much weight to each wheel/tire. 20lbs will noticably increase the amount of energy needed to accelerate and stop. I always worry when I see older Escalades with gigantic 22 inch wheels and little drum brakes in the rear
