hi,
i'm new to this forum, so i'm not sure if this has been addressed. i got 2006 Honda Pilot LX and i want to switch out the XM tuner for a Sirius unit.
Has anyone done this or encounter any problems?

I have not done this but hang tight. You may not need to do anything. It's looking more and more likely that the merger between XM and Sirius may be approved by the FCC.
In my opinion, this would be both a good and bad thing to happen. It would be good so that those with XM receivers that would prefer Sirius could get the stations they want. But, despite what they say, once they get their monopoly approved the prices will go up and audio quality will go down. They're going to figure that they then have no competition and can do as they please. Well, they'll only raise prices and lower quality until the number of subscribers who leave make the moves unprofitable. But, that's all just my opinion ;).

Yes, I've done it and it works perfectly. You need the Honda and Acura SIRIUS Connect Interface HON-SC1 & the SIRIUS Connect Vehicle Tuner SCC1.

The post merger plans have already been announced. I wasn't going to pay extra to get the Sirius channels that I wanted through my XM equipment. |
