| 2006 stereo, will it fit a 2005 EX-L?

Does anyone know if the standard double din radio 2006+ will mount in the 2005 EX-L model? The current unit is a standard factory unit, no DVD, or XM. I was looking to add an IPOD adapter, (I have read plenty on the USA-Spec unit), but thought of buying a 2006+ radio unit from Ebay and getting the AUX function, while keeping the multidisc capability, and the factory look.
1) Anyone have any experience with this?
2) Do the mounting points match?
3) Does the wiring match?
4) Is the AUX port on the radio a decent way to hook in the IPOD, or should I just spring for the adapter?
5) Does anyone have a review or comments on the NEO line of ipod adapters? The local custom stereo shop recommended them, instead of USA-Spec. (www.neocaraudio.com) |
