A callout to the Florida Pilot owners-
It's two months until lovebug season ramps up again and I just purchased a 06 EX-L for my wife's vehicle. The front grille and paint look great, and I'd like to keep it that way  I've seen the bug deflector and nose-mask (whatever Honda calls it) available to protect the finish. But I'm not a fan of keeping either one on past lovebug season- just not fond of the looks. Any opinion on which accessory to purchase if I don't plan on keeping them on year-round?
Thanks! |

| The love bugs this spring were pretty much non existent, who knows what will fall will bring. I wouldn't buy anything special but would scrub them off daily or they'll eat into the painted parts. The windshield I wouldn't worry too much about. |

OMG! I was in Central Florida for a couple of weeks last summer, and the love bugs were terrible. I have never seen such a thing! After a 100-mile drive from Celebration to Vero Beach, the front of my bright-red rental Impala was almost completely black with squished love bugs. I literally blasted the front of it with a pressure washer (it's a rental car, so who cares?), and still couldn't get them all off easily.
If I lived in that area full time, I would get 3M Protection Film installed over the front of my car. It's nearly invisible and does a great job of protecting the car from bugs and paint chips. The Porsche dealership where I used to work had it installed on their cars frequently. Here's a link for more info:
