Skip the cargo cover - Click HERE for Original Thread

After a month long wait, I finally picked up my cargo cover.

What a piece of junk.

Pulling it open, and then securing it, takes a number of tries to align it properly. The old, pre 09 Pilot's covers, were a piece of cake. And without some owner supplied felt tabs, it rattled like crazy,

Also, it will not store under the cargo floor as the older ones did. So, if you are out and have to use the 3rd row seats you have to ask the passengers to hold the thing. It will NOT install behind the 3rd row seats either!

Just very poorly engineered. Very un Honda like.

Uggghhh! I ordered mine yesterday. I was pretty sure that it wouldn't fit in the under-floor bin and I knew that Honda didn't include a behind the third row mounting location (that would have been a nice feature). All of which I was OK with especially since I ordered the cargo tray as well which I believe will pretty much eliminate the spontaneous use of the third row seating, but I'm not happy to hear about the other issues that you've raised. I'll have to mull those over and decide if I'm going to keep it.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you have to add the felt tabs?

Anyone else have any experience with the cargo cover?

I also have the tray. Which is flexible (cheap) enough to fold up and place behind the 3rd row seat, if need be.

The felt "silencers" are wrapped around the lugs on the main unit, where they insert into the side panels.

Cargo covers are standard on the MB and Lexus SUV. I felt that they should be on the Pilot. But these are meerly afterthoughts, IMO
