how did you black out the grill and will it withstand the elements

sanded the crap out of everything and sprayed it with auto paint. the grill has a semi-flat clear and the logo has gloss black no clear. I have access to a paint booth so i think i went a little anal but its been holding up well, i do a lot of highway driving, and havent noticed any chiping
