Removal of KARR alarm wiring - Click HERE for Original Thread

Evidently my new-to-me 2005 Pilot EXL had a KARR alarm installed at the dealer. I bought it second-hand, and it looks like the brain of the karr alarm has since been removed. There's no little LED box under the dash, and there are 3 connectors (one big two tiny) dangling from a some wiring that was spliced into the factory wiring near the parking brake. The add-on wiring includes a relay and two fuses taped up.

The power locks and keyless work just fine, but the "security" light does not light up when I lock the car.

Can anyone help me restore the factory security operation?

I can post pics if it helps.

In general.

Trace each wire.
Note where it connects and the factory wire color code.
See if all you have to do is remove added wires and restore factory connections.

Most of the time, the KAAR alarm/security add ons are simple. The doors, horn, ignition, power and flashing parking lights are just tapped into the wires. The only 2 wires you should be concerned with are the 2 starter wires which are spliced into the ignition harness. However, they usually go to a relay which is closed so if you just leave the relay and harness intact and just cap the ignition and trigger wire you will be fine. If you need more help, post pix with questions and I can usually help you.
