Bye bye integrities - Click HERE for Original Thread

I had the Pilot at my friends shop for a brake job and he told me what I already knew; time for new tires. I told him I didn't want integrities, but I know he gets good prices on Goodyear tires so I told him I wanted either the Fortera silent armour or the triple treads.

He looked up the wrong size and convinced me I had to have the confort tread (that's what he put on his wife's Volvo) and I said ok whatever. He called me back after he spoke with his tire supplier and told me about his mistake and that when he told the guy it was for a Pilot, his supplier told him I should get the Fortera Silent Armour. I was right after all.

So long story short, if it's not too late for that, the integrities are gone and the foteras are in and I have to say it's like the car is on mute. I know it sounds crazy, but it feels much more responsive too. I'm not talking about high speed cornering or drag racing, but just simple things like changing lanes. I don't know, it just feels more solid. Anyway, the Forteras are here and so far I think they're great. I may have a different opinion come next spring, but for now A+.

good to hear you're enjoying the fortera's. just a quick question: did you take a hit on MPG? some people reported losing 1-2 MPG after putting on certain tires like the gy fortera or michelin cross terrain.

It's too soon to tell, we've put less than 100 miles on them. I have to admit though, I'd be willing to trade 1 or 2 MPG's just for the quieter ride! It really is a remarkable difference.

So I've decided that I don't care if my gas mileage suffers a little with these tires. I wish I had some kind of audio before and after. The difference is incredible.

I just traded my OEM 100mile tires on a just bought 2008. Goodyear dealer gave me $260 ($40 per tire with $100 credit) for a set of Fortera T3s. OTD cost of $520. You need great rain/snow tires for Oregon.

I got no difference in mileage from the Integritys to the Fortera Triple Treds. Some here have speculated that the Fortera Silent Armors have more rolling resistence and hence poorer mileage. I don't know if that's based on anything BUT speculation.
