The lights that are supposed to light up when you open the door, well, only one comes on . But, if you push the one thats off to turn it on, it works fine.
Whats going on?
Thanks! |

There is a 3-pos switch near your left knee adjacent to the cruise control master switch which controls whether these lights are door controlled, controlled at the light, or always on. It is easy to flip it into the off position, in which case the light will turn on only with the switch next to it.

Hey, thanks for your reply!
I know what you're talking about, but the switch is already turned to "door". Thats when i open the door, and only one lights up. If the switch is turned to "on", still, its just one that lights up. However, if i push on the individual light to turn it on, it works fine.
Thanks For the reply! |

I recall there may be some weirdness where you can press on the lightswitch after it is lite and turn it off, overriding the door switch. So you might be in one of these weird modes - I remember fiddling with it to get it to work right.

| Maybe its just me, but I would say that the entire problem has to reside within the overhead light and/or its associated switch. |

| Any electrical modifications or taps made? |

Thanks for the responses!
@ N_Jay: That's what I was thinking too. Any ideas on how to fix it?
@ youbetcha: The only "electrical" mod is the remote starter. You can see the antenna against the winshield in the photo. However, the problem just started, and the remote starter has been in there for 6 months. Any ideas?
Thanks again!:) |

I guess you have tried switching the right bulb to the left to see if it makes any difference?

Take it apart carefully looking for something that does not look right. |

Since it works with the switch, I would guess that is not the problem, but you never know.
Sorry for the sarcasm, but "Duh" seemed a little weak.:D |

Interior lights coming on by themselves intermittently. All of them front to back. I can shut them off using the button near cruise control button. All doors and hatch were closed properly. Another bit, possibly related; red "open hatch" dash light is lit even though hatch is perfectly closed.....Shut the Pilot off and restart and all is OK till it decides to start the flashing and then staying on...
Oh, one more thing remote unlocks but, will not lock the Pilot...Go figure...It seems I have an electrical gremlin running around my truck...:( |
