2005 Pilot - really dead battery - Click HERE for Original Thread
jatas
I accidentally left my lights on in my 2005 Pilot EX when rushing to catch a plane. So, after a week, of course the battery was completely dead. The alarm went off when it was jumped, I need the code for the radio and the DVD nav to reset it, and even the automatic function on the driver's side power window doesn't even work when I try and roll it down!!

Do I just need to call the dealer to get the codes, etc. to reset these items? What happens if I just get a new battery? The alarm going off every time the door opens or the car is started is a bit of a pain, so I don't think a new battery only will do the trick.

Thanks for any feedback!

The code for the radio should be in both the glove box and/or the owner's manual. If not, the dealer should be able to help. You might want to discuss how you are looking at a long term relationship.

When you get a new battery you will go through all of this again.

Can't comment on the alarm or DVD part.

As to the window, that is a comment issue raised around ehre. Its in the owner's manual. Lower the window all the way down and hold the switch for a few seconds and then all the way down and hold for a few seconds again. (Would go look for how long a few seconds is but tired form the fireworks show.)

Yep, its a PITA but Once you get the codes and now you know how to fix the window, it won't be so bad next time.

BTW, you will want to also do the idle learn procedure that is "supposed to done" on Pilots when they are delivered. Its in the owner's manual also. If you don't have a manual, do a search, its in HondaPilot .org many times.

Hope you had a good 4th.

There is a decent chance that the battery will hold a charge just fine.

I would give it a few days and see how things are going.
