Hi, I have 06 Pilot with original GPS disk. We moved and many roads are not found on the maps. In addition, the software makes extraordinary wrong (long, circling around) routes.
Will new GPS disk solve my problems or can I install any other GPS system (like TomTom, etc) on existing Honda GPS hardware?

Two suggestions:

1) Purchase the new update "risk free" and see if it contains the streets you are looking for. Alpine offers a 100% money back if for any reason you are dissatisfied.

2) Try different "Routing Methods" in the set up screen. This can make a significant difference on how the NAV routes you. I have both a portable (Garmin) and the stock Honda Pilot 06 Nav systems. Both are very sensitive to how you select your routing method and will give very different directions depending on that setting.

Hope that Helps,

Jeff
