There is a technical service bulletin on this. I had mine fixed by the dealer for no charge. Do a search here and you'll come up with something. I don't have the time right now.

Yup. Happens to everybody. I just reglued it myself.

Here's the orginal thread with a link to the TSB. My VIN isn't covered so it looks like I'll be doing it myself. At least the TSB gives pretty good instructions!

I guess I am going to have to do it myself. My VIN is outside the range as well.

Where do you guys find that tape?
I went to 3M's site and I could not find it.

Thanks for input

If you're car is still within warranty, I'd bring it in for this even if you are outside of the VIN range. I think they'd cover it. Seems to me it's a defect and should be covered under the warranty.

Good luck!
Larry.

Unfortunately it has about 41k miles. So no more warranty.

The TSB has actually been updated to include all 2003 - 2005 model years. But, I had the same trouble with my '06 that the dealer covered under the warranty without questions.

I've attached the latest copy of that TSB.

Good luck!
Larry.

Larry you are the man.

I will take in next week.

Hopefully they will not give me a hard time because it is out of warranty.

Thank you thank you.
