Sean Price
I got it out the door for $21k.....42k miles on it and its Honda CERTIFIED....

I spent about a week at NUMEROUS dealers and quite HONESTLY this seems to have been the best buy and at the best price.. PLUS it was EXACTLY the color I wanted...

but I stumbled across this site and wanted to know what you all thought about it and the price I got it for...

vehicle was purchased in DFW, Texas..

either way I am more then happy with it and i LOVE IT!! but again curiousity prevails...

thank you and let me know

I'd say you paid a little on the high side. I just purchased essentially the same vehicle, same mileage for 18900 in Cincinnati OH. The only difference is yours is certified and mine is not. The certification is really just an extended warranty agreement. I'm not a big fan of the extended warranties. I'd rather just keep the 2K in the bank, take care of the car and hope for the best but if it makes you sleep better at night getting a Certified Honda then you did ok. We got our EXL DVD in time to take it on vacation and it was one of the most comfortable and quiet (kids were watching movies the whole time) drives we ever had.

Enjoy your new ride

Congrats on the new Pilot! We just got ours last month- silver with black interior. 2005 EX-L (no DVD or NAV).

32k miles- vehicle was 16,200, about 17,400 after tax, title, license. I have a friend that runs a smaller dealership and we spent about 3 weeks looking at the auto auctions here in Milwaukee and Chicago. We got brand new tires and wheels (though I would have preferred to not have new Goodyear Integrities), included. I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to do nearly as well without my friend- it's much more pleasant when you know 1. How much the auction price was and 2. What the dealership is making on the sale (which I obviously had no problems with).

We've already put 4,000 miles on it already after a vacation and we couldn't be happier with it.

Another price point for fun. On June 20, I bought a 2005 EX-L with Video at 54,000 miles for $14,900. It has some door dings and a 1" tear in the drivers seat. One nice thing, I called three local dealers and one had the service history. The 15, 30 and 45K services were done by Honda, plus oil changes every 5k. I am glad to know the trans fluid has been changed.:)

Price is definitely on the high side. Asking price in this area is in the mid to hi teens

White wheel? How about getting the Tl wheels for sale on this board and having them powdercoated?

Lets see the car!

Definitely on the high side. Got my 2005 EX-L (No NAV/DVD) billet silver metallic with gray interior for $19.5k and has 24k+ miles on it. A few dings and scratches but nothing major. The dealership has tagged it for $23.5k

Indiguy and TheHiker got a great bargain, I see.

I already added running boards, did the auto-lock mod and looking forward to do more mods. Drove it down to SoCal from South bay and back, and it performed like a champ. No problemo at all.

Just got mine 05 EX-L DVD for $14600, it has 42,000 on it. SMOKEN Deal. It only came with one key and I don't have the radio code so I will be spending a little bit more, but still pretty happy with it.

Congratulations! What is the condition? Mine had a lot of door dings, but thankfully the color doesn't highlight them. Does your area have a lot of Pilots in this range or did you have unique circumstances? We have a Honda auction here, so there are quite a few of these available here.

I was thrilled to find a local dealer who had done the 15, 30 and 45K services, so I know it was taken care of. I have started off with doing the trans and brake fluid myself, and plan to move on to differential, power steering and coolant myself in the near future.
