| When I drive my 2005 Honda Pilot, the 4th gear "D" light starts blinking. It has 49600 miles on it and is 3 years 2 months old vehicle. I just dropped off the vehicle at a Honda dealer to check it out. Any idea what could be the problem? Thanks. |

Almost anything with the transmission, from very small to very big. |

| Just to let you know....I have a 2003 Pilot. My Blinking "D" started last year September....3 weeks ago my transmission went....I have 86,000 miles on mine. Needless to say, my "D" isn't blinking anymore. |

No I did get it checked, several times; however, each time, it either stopped blinking or the dealership could not determine the cause. 1 week before my transmission went, I again took it to the dealer because of the blinking "D". The dealership replaced a 4th pressure switch and 1 week later my transmission went.   |

Did Honda help with the cost of the transmission?
Did you bring up that you had been in several times? |

I did mention it and of course, they had all records that I brought the vehcile in several times. Yes, Honda covered half of the remanufactured transmission and warranty for 36,000 or 3 years. I would of liked a totally brand new transmission, but I guess that was asking a little too much. :) |

Even brand new cars get "re-manufactured" transmissions for replacements.
In general they are as good as new, and some believe they can be even better. (but if I say that about 100 people come out pf the walls and argue with me). :) |
