I NEED YOUR HELP. . . .
OK I'm new to the Pilot, but do the Pilot's doors auto lock? Or can they be programmed to do so??? i.e., as soon as you hit 5 mph etc. they will lock.
Wifey would really like them to do so.... I need you guys help!

| no, unless you have an aftermarket alarm that can be made to do that. |

| no, they don't automatically lock. its one of the very few things i think honda should have made standard, especially for the pilot. someone posted a detailed post about modding the locks and tapping into the tranny selector to get them to lock when you shift out of park, and unlock when you shift back into park. you should be able to find that forum with a quick search. |

| A very simple solution which I did for our Pilot and Accords was to just add in a very simple alarm with the autolock/unlock feature. It involves only connecting the hot, ignition, lock, unlock, door trigger, ground, and mounting a valet switch which is actually optional. All wires are accessible under the dash on the driver's side. |

| I don't like locking my door. I figure if I'm in an accident it will be easier for someone to get me out if I'm unconscious. Everything is a risk, nothing is for sure, and there are no right answers, I guess. |

Not a reply, but I wan't sure how to post properly!Today my 03 Pilot's driver door stopped locking with the remote. It's not a battery issue, as the other doors all lock and unlock. I have to push the lock button with finger. So it's apparently something about the button???
Tried our other remote and it doesn't work either. HELP!! It's much safer in a parking lock to be able to use remote. Also since the door doesn't lock, the remote won't "beep" |

SS Hedge sounds like a power door lock actuator(motor). It seems to be a common failure over time with the pilots.

The 2006 Pilot does not lock the doors automatically.
I added a circuit that locks the doors when taken out of park and unlocks the doors when put in park. |
