Has any attempted to 'ease' up access to the third row?
My wife is so concerned that *IF* we get pregnant again, we'll have twins. (Her mother is a twin)
Already having one child, she is convinced that we'd need to trade in our Pilot for an Odessy so that she has access to all 3 (or 4 if we have more kids after that) car seats.
My Thought:
Remove the 40% side of the middle row, and put 2 or 3 car seats in the back row. Concerns? I don't care if I lose the middle seat in the middle row due to lack of seatbelt. Just looking to justify keeping the pilot. (This argument is at least 9 months early if not more) |

Oreomike,
We handle our 3 kids (age 7,5 & 2) quite easily all in the middle row of our Pilot. When our 2 year old was born, we had an infant seat on one window, a car seat for the middle child on the other window, and our oldest in a backless booster seat in the middle. Believe it or not they all fit. With the current ages of the kids, we have 1 car seat and 2 backless boosters.
All that said, I do doubt you could fit 2 infant seats and a car seat in 1 row, so it depends on how old your first child is (and whether that child was old enough for a booster). Of course this all hinges on when and if your wife gets pregnant, and then whether or not you have twins. We dodged the twin bullet, as my wife's father is a twin (coincidentally my wife is a twin too - through her Mom's side). Your wife must be quite the planner, thinking about things like this so early on! |

| I have 3 kids too, 1 is 4 and the twins are almost 2 now. We put all three in the middle row. You will need the full cargo area for strollers, groceries, pack-n-plays, diaper bags, etc. There is plenty of room for 3 car seats all in the 2nd row. |
