30K Service--should I do all of it? - Click HERE for Original Thread

My 2005 Pilot has 38,000 miles. I've done the routine oil changes and tire rotations. The dealer wanted about $500 for the "check this, inspect that, check that" stuff. Here is all I plan to do, am I missing anything important?

Oil change with Mobil 1
Rotate/balance tires
Inspect brakes
Change VTM-4 fluid
Change auto trans fluid
Replace air filter (will do myself)
Replace cabin filter (will do myself)

Thanks

If you can change the air cabin filter then you can do the rest on your own, it's not really all that difficult. There are plenty of DIY threads in our maintenance section to help you out.

Other check on the quality of the anti-freeze which should be ok with only 38,000 miles. You have the rest pretty well covered.

I sgree with humanoid that the rest are VERY easy to do EXCEPT balancing the tires. That you might have to have someone else do for you!
