Aux jack in center console - Click HERE for Original Thread

Anyone know anything about the aux jack in the center console in the EX model? I know the manual says you can only connect a usb flashdrive to the touring model but any luck connecting it to the aux jack in the EX? If so, what kind of adapter/cable did you use to connect your flashdrive?

Only the Touring allows the direct connection of a USB Drive. For the other trim levels, you'll need some type of digital audio player - iPod, Sansa, Zen, etc, that you can connect the audio out on the audio player to a stereo mini-plug to connect to the Aux Jack.

ugh, that's what I thought would be the reply. Time to upgrade my iPod I guess. Thanks!

Why upgrade? Just get an 1/8" to 1/8" connector and connect your existing ipod's headphone jack.

it's just that I have one of the original iPod minis with only 4gb and I have a lot more musc than 4gb.

OK, I just bought an 09 EXL, got a plug cable and connected my IPOD and nothing. Does the IPOD music have to be in a certain format?

If you are using a headphone plug, make sure the iPod volume is maxed out. Also make sure the head unit is on AUX.

Yep, my ipod works nicely in AUX mode on my EX. I have volume on the ipod at about 90-95%.
